Another strong showing from the Academy sides

This Sunday 23rd October, Romain Ferrier's Reserves took on the Genêts d’Anglet in their 6th game of the National 3 season. In the first half, Emeric Depussay teed up Logan Delaurier-Chaubet for the opening goal (1-0, 26’). The Girondins led throughout the rest of the game, only to come undone in the dying seconds. The Genêts d’Anglet equalised deep inside injury time (1-1, 90+3'), bringing the game to a frustrating conclusion. The Girondins now sit second in the league. Their next game will be another away trip to Châtellerault on Saturday 5 November 2022.

Also on Sunday, the U19s hosted Le Mans FC for their 10th outing of the league season. The Girondins took an early lead courtesy of David Tebili (14’, 1-0), with Jean Grillot doubling the tally a few minutes later (18’, 2-0). Le Mans never looked much like scoring, and the game ended 2-0 to Bordeaux. Rohan Alain and co. are now 5th in Group C. Their next game will be an away trip to USSA Vertou. 

Sylvain Blaquart's young charges were away in Balma this Sunday for their 9th game of the league season.  This was a closely-fought encounter, and the stalemate endured until the very end of the match. Bordeaux's Malone Boucard finally found the net in the final minute of normal time (0-1, 89'). Team-mate Nathan Moineau followed that up with a second barely a minute later, dealing Balma a knock-out blow (0-2, 90'). With two goals in two minutes, Bordeaux secured an important win over Balma. The Girondins are now 5th in the league on 17 points. Their next game will be on 5 November 2022, a home clash with FC Marmande 47.
