Logan Delaurier-Chaubet : "We always go out there to win"

Ahead of this weekend's game against Dijon, Logan Delaurier-Chaubet chatted to us about his progress, the atmosphere in the squad and the pleasure of playing in front of a home crowd at the Matmut ATLANTIQUE. Girondins.com: You've been playing regularly this season, how does it feel? Logan Delaurier-Chaubet: I feel on form, and the whole squad is in a good place. In spite of some middling results lately, we're still 2nd in the league. I haven't played so much in the past few weeks, but I'm still working hard every day to earn a place in the team. Girondins.com: How has playing more games affected your own game? Logan Delaurier-Chaubet: I've become more confident, more mature. On the pitch and in training too, I'm learning everyday and giving it my all.

Girondins.com: What is the atmosphere like in the squad ahead of the Dijon game? It's almost like a comeback, after two weeks off. Logan Delaurier-Chaubet: The whole squad is very motivated. We want to make up for the points we've dropped recently. So we'll be heading to Dijon on a mission to bring back those 3 points.

Girondins.com: The home match against Dijon earlier in the season was close (Bordeaux won 2-1, ed.). How are you preparing for the return fixture? Logan Delaurier-Chaubet: We prepare for every game with the same intensity and the same dedication. Every game counts in the league. If we want to earn promotion, in second place or by getting back to the top, then we need to go out there every week with a hunger to win. Girondins.com: Do you have any personal objectives for the second half of the season? Logan Delaurier-Chaubet : I want to play as much as possible, and have an impact for the team. But the number one objective for all of us is to get back into the top flight

Girondins.com: What is your pre-match ritual? Logan Delaurier-Chaubet: I'm in my own little world. I get focused, I do my stretches and I do a few warm-up exercises. Girondins.com: How would you describe the energy of the supporters and the atmosphere at the Matmut ATLANTIQUE ? Logan Delaurier-Chaubet: Playing at the Matmut ATLANTIQUE is always impressive. You can hear the fans singing all the way through the game, from the first minute to the very end. When I scored my first goal in my very first match (against Niort, 13 August 2022), the noise took my breath away.
