The Girondins de Bordeaux eare delighted to confirm the arrival of Alexi Pitu from FCV Farul Constanta. The Romania U21 international joins us on a 4 1/2 year contract (until 2027).

Alexi Pitu hails from Karlsruhe in Germany, and has dual German and Romanian nationality. He started out in Romania at the Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy, founded by the Romanian legend in the 1990s.

In 2018 he signed for FCV Farul Constanta, making his first team debut at the age of 16 and racking up a wealth of top level experience.
In the 2022-2023 so far he has made 20 appearances in the Romanian top flight, scoring 5 goals and providing 5 assists.
As for international experience, Alexi Pitu has featured for Romania all the way up to U21 level.

A flexible attacking player, Alexi Pitu is happy playing up front, on the wing or even as an attacking midfielder. Our scouts were impressed by his technical abilities, his precise passing and his ability to read the game.
