Two draws and a win for the youth sides

Poitiers – Bordeaux : 1-1 The Girondins Reserves travelled to take on Poitiers this Saturday at Stade Michel Amand 1. The two teams started the afternoon level on points in the league table, and ended it that way too after a tightly-contested game. Defender Johaneko Louis-Jean (38’) got the Girondins' only goal, cancelling out Mathis Baude's early opener (7’).  The Girondins will host Entente Sportive Guéretoise this Sunday 12 February, kick-off 15:00, at Stade Pierre-Paul Bernard, Talence.

Niort – Bordeaux : 1-1 On the 18th weekend of league action for the U19s, Bordeaux were held to a 1-1 draw in Niort. The hosts took the lead in the 16th minute, but the Girondins never gave up and secured a late equaliser courtesy of Noah Ramon (78’). The U19s will be back in action this Sunday at Le Haillan, hosting FC Nantes.

Bordeaux – Montpellier : 1-0 For their 17th outing in Group E, the Girondins de Bordeaux welcomed Montpellier HSC to Le Haillan. This was another tightly-contested game with chances few and far between, but Bordeaux took the three points thanks to an 86th-minute goal from Tom Pottier, who had come on as a substitute only minutes before. This excellent result leaves Bordeaux just two points adrift of third place, currently occupied by Montpellier. The lads' next game is the all-important Garonne Derby against Jeune Entente Toulousaine, this Sunday 12th February at 14:30.
