This Sunday the Girondins Reserves took on ES Guérétoise in their 15th game of the National 3 season. After a hotly-contested opening period, Bordeaux took the lead with two goals in rapid succession (26' and 30') from Rayane Doucouré and David Tebili. Second-half substitute Cehaib El Moutakawil got the third (3-0, 59'), before Lenny Pirringuel put the match to bed (4-0, 82'). Disciplined and committed from start to finish, Romain Ferrier's side earned a well-deserved victory which will set them in good stead for the rest of the season. This Saturday (Feb 18th) they travel to face Bayonne at the Stade Didier Deschamps.

For their third outing in this season's Excellence league, the young Girondines travelled some 600km to take on Complexe Sportif Akademi EAG 2. Carla Lecaille and Sarah Guellil, Bordeaux's goalscorers last time out, both struck again to put our girls into the lead. Guingamp refused to give up, and Angel Gurhem narrowed the gap before Imane Touriss equalised for the hosts. The Girondines are still in the top spot for the time being, ahead of their next away trip to Le Mans on Sunday 5th March.
