Youth team round-up

This Sunday 16 April, the U19s hosted USSA Vertou for their 23rd outing of the league season (national group C). After victory in Le Mans last week (3-1), Matthieu Chalmé's side were determined to keep their good run going in this home game at the Plaine des Sports du Haillan. Henoc Lusweki got the game off to a perfect start in just the 4th minute (1-0). Emboldened by this early goal, the Girondins kept pushing forward and had effectively put the game to bed within the first thirty minutes. Paco Amougou Triaud (27’) and Enzo Grothe (29’) both scored to give Bordeaux a seemingly unassailable lead (3-0). Combative and goal-hungry, the Girondins never stopped pressing. Nathan Moineau added a fourth in the second half (4-0), shortly before Alois Kisaku pulled one back for the visitors (4-1, 69’). The boys will be back on the road next weekend, travelling to face Laval on Sunday 23 April at the Stade des Gandonnières.

Bordeaux U17s played out a goalless drawn with Nîmes on Sunday 16 April. The boys have a local derby against Mérignac to look forward to next weekend, Sunday 23 March, kick-off 15:00.

Bordeaux were narrowly beaten by Le Mans at Stade Galin. Celiane Pereira (22’) and Samantha Birollaud (54’) put the visitors ahead (0-2), and despite the best efforts of Romain Vitry's side to equalise they only managed one late goal courtesy of Carla Lecaille (89’, 1-2). The girls' next game will be against La Roche sur Yon at the Stade de Saint André d’Ornay 1, Sunday 30 April at 15:00.
