The DNCG recently publicly released financial details for all of France's professional football clubs in the 2021-2022 seasons. The Girondins de Bordeaux would like to make it abundantly clear that these figures pertain to last season, the first year following the acquisition of the club by its current owners.   The financial situation of the club has improved considerably in the intervening twelve months, with the club set to turn a profit this season. During the period covered by the recently-published figures, the club was in the midst of a major financial and operational restructuring. Since being relegated to Ligue 2 in the summer of 2022, and in spite of all the financial constraints that relegation entailed, the club has accelerated its efforts to transform its accounts and its debt structure, with immediate results in 2022-2023. Thanks to €30 million of debt release, as well as significant reductions to payroll and operating costs, the club is set to finish in the black this season. Our equity has thus improved significantly, in keeping with the financial forecasts presented to the DNCG in November 2022.
