Two more young Girondines turn pro!

The Girondins de Bordeaux are pleased to announce that Serena Pinto De Queiros and Ambre Basser-Drunet have signed their first professional deals with the club. Aged 18 and 17 respectively, the girls have signed three and two-year contracts. Serena Pinto De Queiros will be with us until at least the end of the 2025-2026 season, with Ambre Basser-Drunet signing on until June 2025.

Serena was born in December 2004 in Niort. She started out with Chamois Niortais at the age of 8, representing her local club for 8 seasons. The young striker joined the Girondins de Bordeaux in July 2021, starting out with the U19s before moving up to the first-team squad in time for the 2022-2023 season. So far this season, she has made 9 appearances in D1 and one in the Coupe de France. She scored her first goal for the senior side on 8th January, in the Coupe de France tie with Nîmes. At international level, Serena has 14 caps and 1 goal to her name with Portugal U19.

Ambre Basser-Drunet was born in September 2005 in Brive-la-Gaillarde. She has established herself as a stalwart of the U19 squad with the Girondins de Bordeaux, gradually working her way into the first team and making her first appearances in D1. In March 2023 she had the honour of representing Morocco U20 in the UNAF tournament, where she scored one goal.
