Girondins.com: Hi Josh, how are you feeling as the promotion push enters the home straight? Josh Maja: I'm on good form, I'm confident and I'm excited about the end of the season. We have four very important games ahead of us, and obviously we need to win them all. We know it won't be easy, but if we carry on playing the way we know we can, then we'll get there. Girondins.com: As you say, there are 4 matches left to play. You're coming off back-to-back wins, how do you remotivate yourself for the fight with every new game? Josh Maja: There are a couple of things which are essential. You have to stay focused, take each game as it comes and work hard to keep on raising the bar.

"Every team is dangerous"

Girondins.com: How are you preparing for Quevilly-Rouen? Josh Maja: They're a team that play good football, they've made a lot of progress and they haven't lost in their last five league games. Their defence is solid. We need to be very careful, to listen to the manager and to fine-tune the last technical details to make sure we put in a good performance. Every team is dangerous, so it's down to us to prepare as well as we can and to be ready to fight for the 3 points.

"When promotion is signed and sealed, that's when I'll feel happy and satisfied"

Girondins.com: You're currently the Girondins' top scorer, with 16 goals in Ligue 2 this season. You also won the UNFP player of the month award for April. I imagine you're delighted, no? How d you feel about honours like that? Josh Maja: Sure, it's a nice feeling. But I have to thank the manager, the coaching staff, my team-mates and of course the fans, as well as the hard work I have put in this season. I'm happy to be scoring regularly and doing my bit for the team. But for me the most important thing is to help get this club back where it belongs: in Ligue 1. I'm totally focused on that objective, so when promotion is signed and sealed, that's when I'll feel happy and satisfied. Girondins.com: Tell us a bit about your pre-match ritual? Josh Maja: I don't have a set routine. I like to listen to my "Game Day" playlist, with some of my favourite artists like Future, Lil Durk, Lil Baby… But UK drill is still my favourite style of music. Music is really important, it helps me to get in the right headspace before getting on the pitch. Girondins.com: Thanks Josh, have a great game against Quevilly-Rouen!
