In their 22nd and final outing of the 2022-2023 D1 season, the Girondines took all 3 points in Le Havre. Ella Palis nudged Bordeaux ahead in the 17th minute, but Elisor fired back almost instantly with an equaliser for the hosts (1-1). The game then settled down somewhat, with Bordeaux taking control. Maëlle Garbino promptly restored the Girondines' lead (1-2, 22'), setting the tone for the rest of the match. Mylène Chavas reassured her team-mates with a series of assured saves, and shortly before half time D1 débutante Marie-Sergine made it an afternoon to remember by scoring Bordeaux's third (39', 1-3). Maëlle Garbino added a fourth in the 68th minute, putting the Girondines in total control of this tie. Ali Nadjim's late consolation effort did nothing to change the course of the game. The Girondines closed out the season in style with an assured victory away from home. They finish the campaign in 7th place, with 27 points. Bravo girls!
