Club Response to LFP decision

The Girondins de Bordeaux have been made aware of the LFP disciplinary committee to delay their ruling until Monday 12 June 2023, in order to proceed with a full investigation in line with the league's disciplinary regulations. The committee has thus decided not to take up our proposal to replay the game immediately on a provisional basis. This would have enabled both sides to better handle the constraints of the sporting calendar, particularly the upcoming round of international games. The committee has decided to take a week to investigate the case more thoroughly, with all of the facts at its disposal, in order to untangle some of the contradictory statements which have emerged since last Friday. Nonetheless, we note that this decision does not, for the time being, offer closure for the league season, nor does it give us an opportunity to replay this decisive game in a spirit of sporting fairness and transparency.
