Amandine and Marie are European champions!

The European University Championship ran from 25 June to 2 July 2023 in Tirana, Albania, bringing together 518 players from 28 universities in 16 countries. The final pitted Bordeaux against the University of Valencia Spain (4-1). Two Girondines who are also students at the University of Bordeaux featured in that final, with Amandine Herbet and Marie Dehri making full use of their experience of the French top flight.

The University of Bordeaux have form in this tournament: last year in Poland they also lifted the cup, seeing off opposition from Ukraine in the final (4-1). And to top it all off, the girls from Bordeaux Uni also won the fair play award, in recognition of their exemplary performances in Albania! Girondines defender Amandine Herbert and midfielder Marie Dehri can now take a well-earned break before pre-season training begins on 24 July 2023.
