Official statement from the Club

The Girondins de Bordeaux firmly condemn the decision of an isolated group of supporters to defy the prefectural order forbidding them to attend yesterday's game at Ajaccio's Stade Francois-Coty. The club is working closely with the préfecture and representatives of the league to identify and ban the individuals involved. We applaud the decision to allow the match to continue. The club will take all necessary measures to punish this inadmissible behaviour, which is in no way representative of the Girondins' fanbase. The club also firmly condemns the violent scenes witnessed inside the stadium, and we have every confidence that the authorities will take appropriate action in response.
